If you’ve never been great at building rapport with others, college is the ideal time to start.

Getting along with others, more than anything else you do, will positively impact your level of success.

Have you ever heard “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”? True, to an extent.  Building a network of people who like and respect you could shave years off of your success curve.

Be sure to treat others well and take the time to foster genuine rapport with them.

Your reputation is so hard to build up and so easy to break down.  Make sure you are on your best behavior with all people.  Trust me, the minute you blow it and are unkind, that’s when others will hear about you.

So be nice, and be the kind of person others want to be around.
