Student LeadershipTIP
#19 Remember Others
Your team is probably overworked and certainly underpaid, right?
You will build trust and loyalty among your people if you
remember them and get to know them as individuals and not just members
of the SGA or the student newspaper.
When people do speak to you, you need to remember what they say,
so you can build your relationship with them.
I know that it’s hard to remember sometimes. My chapter in College
Success Your Way which covers how to get better grades with less
effort will give you some great tips on how to improve your memory in a
way that will not only help you be a more powerful leader of your team,
these tips will also help you be a better student with less work!
When you talk to people, listen carefully to what they say.
People reveal more that you might imagine. They will open up and tell
you exactly what’s important to them.
All you need to do to cultivate relationships with them is to
listen and remember what they’ve told you, and reference it in future
conversations.
You’ll be amazed at how flattered people are that you remember
them and how much more loyal they will be to you. ***************************************** For all 101 Tips on Student Time Management as a download you can get right now, go to Success Store While you're there, check out other downloadable
